>> Cherry Tree that Represents the Beauty of Switzerland
Cherry is the favorite fruit of many Swiss people. While Japan and Korea also boast beautiful cherry blossoms in the spring, cherry trees in Switzerland not only add to the beautiful landscape but also offer tasteful fruits. Northern Switzerland produces more than half of all cherries in this country that enjoys cherry blossoms between April and early May. Once you visit the region, you will be able to enjoy a stroll along the orchards filled with cherry trees and flowers.
>> Alpine Rose and Edelweiss
On the way to Schilthorn, there is a destination called Allmendhubel that can be reached by taking a cable car from Munich. This hidden gem is one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland.
On your way back to Munich from Allmendhubel, you can enjoy an excellent half-an-hour hike immersed in the beauty of the floral fields and the Alps.
Especially, from June to September, more than 150 different species of wildflowers cover the area, so make sure to visit during this season to catch a glimpse of the Alpine roses and edelweiss at the height of their beauty.
>> The Heaven of Roses and Irises

Rosengarten is located on a hillside which offers a great view of the Aare River. Moreover, the garden is covered with roses of more than 220 different species, more than 200 different species of iris, and more than 28 different species of azaleas, making it an attractive destination in the spring.
Plus, on the way to the Rosengarten hill, there is a cherry blossom road with rows of cherry blossom trees received from Japan as a gift. Visitors can enjoy the sight of original cherry blossoms blended into the rich European landscape.

Between April and May, white daffodils color the Montreux and Vevey area into pale white. Daffodils not only lures visitors with their scent but also catches their eyes with their beauty often described as the ‘Snow of May’. White daffodils earned this nickname as they look like a white sheet of snow that covers the green fields.
The fact that even Ernest Hemingway, the legendary novelist, praised the beauty of this scene in a letter that he wrote is a testament to the unique charm of the area in that time of the year. Go catch sight of the ‘Snow of May’ in Montreux and Vevey when you get a chance to!
