Kakao Games' upcoming massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) ArcheAge War [KAKAO GAMES]
Kakao Games will release its new massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) ArcheAge War on March 21, the publisher said Tuesday.The new MMORPG, which will be available for cross-play on both PC and mobile, is expected to be one of the biggest titles from the game company this year.
Developed by XL Games, the ArcheAge franchise began in 2013 and is based in the mythical land of Auroria where the war between gods has led to destruction and chaos. Players must rebuild the world through both cooperation and competition.
Contrary to the ArcheAge game, which focused on the city-building aspect more than the battles, ArcheAge War puts its emphasis on war — hence the name — and will take place in an open world where players are given maximum freedom in what they choose to do within the game.
Players can start reserving character nicknames through Kakao Games' website. Those who participate will be given items as rewards.
