As spring arrives with warmer weather and blooming flowers, the city of Seoul has introduced its curated list of 175 scenic spring flower paths, inviting residents and visitors to explore the capital in full bloom.

Spanning a total of 251 kilometers, this year’s selection features four distinct themes: urban flower walks, park trails, riverside routes, and neighborhood strolls—making it easy for people to find routes that match their pace and preferences.

According to forecasts, early spring flowers such as forsythia and azaleas are expected to peak in late March, while cherry blossoms are projected to reach full bloom around April 10.

The flower paths showcase a mix of familiar seasonal blooms, including cherry blossoms, fringe trees, and azaleas, alongside carefully selected plants from Seoul’s “Top 400 Attractive Plants” initiative.

Together, they create vibrant landscapes that offer not just visual beauty, but also a sense of calm and seasonal renewal for those walking through the city.

Notable spots include Seokchon Lake Park, where cherry blossoms form a tunnel reflected on the water, and riverside trails along Anyangcheon, offering breezy walks beneath canopies of white petals.

The golden slopes of Eungbongsan Mountain provide sweeping views of blooming forsythia, while Cheonggyecheon features striking lines of white fringe trees along its waterway.

The city has also expanded its garden initiative, increasing the number of “attractive gardens” to over 1,500, further enhancing the walking experience.

Detailed routes and bloom updates are available via the Seoul city website and the Smart Seoul Map, helping users easily locate nearby flower paths and plan their spring outings.
