1. Set your expectations high for Moonrise

After a summer hiatus, eight-seater eatery Moonrise is back with a new nine-course degustation menu. The city's foodies are intrigued to see what chef Solemann Haddad – recipient of the Michelin Dubai Young Chef Award – is going to be dishing up for the latest chapter in this success story. Savour his take on grilled cheese with truffle and a frozen strawberry cheesecake, alongside signature creations like a caviar-topped Japanese tsukune meatball and charcoal-grilled garlic naan.

2. Feast on Latin American flavours at Tamoka

Treat your tastebuds to a two-hour lunch at The Ritz-Carlton Dubai's breezy Tamoka. 5. Spice up your life at Murray's

Jumeirah Beach Hotel's Dhow and Anchor has written a culinary love letter to India via its gastronomic pop-up, Murray's. Taking inspiration from London's iconic Brick Lane, the menu features British-Indian favourites like balti lamb chops, paneer tikka masala and lamb seekh kebabs alongside cooling kulfi and rasmalai sweet treats. The weekly classes, coined La Scuola, are led by head chef Iacovelli and restaurant manager Dinescu, with each two-hour slot costing AED299. The eatery is also hosting hour-long lessons for little ones, during which they can learn to make pizza and pasta for just AED75.

10. Set your sight on Street Week at Yava

Moreish street food is in the spotlight at Yava's week-long celebration showcasing Palestinian and Mediterranean roadside eats. Feast on festive favourites that are handy to take away or enjoy them alongside an upbeat vibe at the Wasl 51 restaurant from 2-12 September. Whether you are in the mood for zaatar fatayar, fig babka bread, falafel sandwiches or a tzatziki-topped Yava burger, you'll find plenty to pick from at owner Basil Yassin's popular spot.

11. Spend a Night at the Chocolate Factory

Those with a sweet tooth looking for hocus pocus scavenger hunts, cocoa comet making, wrapper colouring competitions and other chocolate-based games should make their way to Al Quoz's Mirzam Chocolate Factory for a one-night only chocolate factory experience. 13. Experience a masterful collaboration

Culinary connoisseurs should reserve their tables for a once-in-a-lifetime feast as chef Gregoire Berger joins forces with chef Alex Atala of Brazil's D.O.M. for two nights of immersive dining. The unique collaboration will see the chefs prepare an unforgettable 10-course tasting menu at Michelin-starred Ossiano on 14 and 15 October. Focussing on seasonality and the abundance of nature, the four-hands dinner will showcase both Atala's native influences and Berger's progressive French style.
