On Aug. 9, Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon announced that he is retiring through Twitter. In a Twitlonger post, Huni said that his contract has been terminated with TSM due to an injury issue on Aug. 5. "I'm in a position where I can't play anymore, so I've decided to retire," he said and thanked his fans for the phenomenal memories they gifted him.

Huni had a long journey through his professional League of Legends career as he played in many regions and teams around the world. From his debut in Fnatic, Huni played in Immortals, SK Telecom T1, Echo Fox, Clutch Gaming, Dignitas, Evil Geniuses, and TSM. Throughout his career, Huni aided his team to many domestic championships.

The highlight of his career was his SK Telecom T1 days, where he won the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational and came in runner-up at the 2017 World Championship.

Huni mentioned that he hasn't decided on what his next step will be but implied that he'll be staying in the industry. "I haven't specifically decided what I will do for the future but hope I stay around the esports industry since haven't won LCS yet," he said. Will Huni return to the LCS as a coach? Time will tell.
