BLAST and KRAFTON have renewed their collaboration for 2025, ensuring the return of two major PUBG esports events for a third consecutive year. The partnership will support the PUBG EMEA Championship (PEC) and the PUBG Americas Series (PAS), with each regional tournament offering a $50,000 prize pool for teams striving to make their mark on the international stage.
The competitive schedule kicks off with open qualifiers on March 3, followed by a group stage that will be broadcast live from March 14 to 16. A subsequent Last Chance phase is set for March 22 and 23, with the Grand Finals scheduled to take place between March 28 and 30. This well-structured format aims to reinforce PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS’ standing in the global esports landscape.
In a further expansion of the competitive offerings, KRAFTON is set to introduce the PUBG Players Tour (PPT), a brand-new event that features a third-person perspective gameplay format. Operated by BLAST across both the EMEA and Americas regions, the PPT marks the first official support for a third-person tournament since 2018. This move is designed to diversify the competitive experience and provide an alternative format for PUBG enthusiasts.
Both partners expressed confidence that their combined expertise will elevate the PUBG esports scene. BLAST plans to bring its industry-leading technology, high-end production values, and extensive tournament experience to enhance every aspect of the competitions. Meanwhile, KRAFTON anticipates that the expanded event lineup and the new third-person format will deliver an engaging season for players and fans alike.
This announcement follows a period of significant growth for PUBG esports, with recent tournaments setting new records in peak concurrent viewership. The ongoing success of events like PEC and PAS underscores their importance within the competitive PUBG ecosystem.
